Manage and render your 1Footer footer on WordPress with server-side delivery and centralized updates.

== Description ==

OneFooter connects your WordPress site to the 1Footer service so you can manage a shared footer from one dashboard and render it on your site with server-side delivery.

Key features:

* Server-side footer fetch from the 1Footer API for SEO-friendly output.
* Automatic `wp_footer` injection or manual placement with the `[onefooter]` shortcode.
* Optional selector-based hiding for an existing theme footer.
* Local caching to reduce repeated API calls.
* Public-facing 1Footer credit disabled by default and only shown if the site owner explicitly enables it.

This plugin acts as an interface to the 1Footer software service.

Service details:

* Website: https://1footer.com/
* Terms of Use: https://1footer.com/terms-of-use
* Privacy Policy: https://1footer.com/privacy-policy

The plugin does not contact the 1Footer API until a site administrator enters and saves an API key in the plugin settings.

The plugin sends:

* Your configured 1Footer API key
* Your WordPress site domain

This allows the 1Footer service to return the published footer HTML associated with that site.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does this plugin require a 1Footer account? =

Yes. You need a 1Footer account and an API key for the site whose footer you want to render.

= Is the plugin useful without the 1Footer service? =

No. This plugin is a WordPress integration layer for the 1Footer service and is intended to be used with an active 1Footer workspace and API key.

= Does the plugin add tracking automatically? =

No. The plugin only calls the 1Footer API after a site administrator saves an API key. It does not send analytics or marketing data by default.

= Can I keep my theme footer and place OneFooter manually? =

Yes. Switch the plugin to `Manual` mode and place the `[onefooter]` shortcode in a template, block, or widget area. You can also use the optional `Hide existing footer selector` setting if you need to suppress the theme footer.

= Does the plugin show a public “Built with 1Footer” credit? =

Not by default. Public credit display is off by default and can be enabled explicitly in plugin settings.
